Mr. Nobumasa Iemori, president of Sumitomo Metal Mining, said the firm may get behind if mega earthquake or Tsunami occurs in West Japan.Hachinohe Smelting, subsidiary of Mitsui Mining And Smelting, and Onahama smelting plant of Toho Zinc were forced in close operation by the earthquake in March. Onahama Smelting, the subsidiary of Mitsubishi Materials, was visited by the Tsunami. 3 works started the operation in July. The earthquake cut supply chain of such as automobile and made impact many industry in the world when electronic materials or semi-conductor plant which have worldwide share came to stop operation in East Japan.
