Kobe Special Tube Builds Up Production System of Stainless Steel Tube

Japanese major seamless steel tube maker, Kobe Special Tube builds up production system of stainless tube for semi-conductor or liquid crystal plants. The firm increases production capacity of small diameter stainless bright annealing steel tube to 100,000 pipes per month from 80,000 pipes for the size with under 12 millimeters diameter until ended 2011 when the demand is expected to increase by business investment in U.S.A

The firm installs one heat treatment furnace in bright annealing plant and installs one drawing machine. Mr. Keiichi Wada said the firm secures needs by prompt attention for fluctuation of the demand when the demand is expected to expand in U.S. and South Korea.

The firm expanded the capacity of stainless steel tube by double to 80,000 pipes per month by increased capacity of furnace and adjustment of orthotic appliance on November 2010 due to increased demand in South Korea and Taiwan.

The firm’s output of bright annealing stainless steel tube is 50,000 pipes per month in fiscal 2011 when the demand decreased in South Korea. The firm forecasts the output decreases from possible quantity in the first half of fiscal 2011, while will recover the output in the last half of fiscal 2011 due to increased demand.
