Stainless Scrap Price Rises by 5,000 yen per tonne for Nickel series

In Tokyo, Stainless scrap price increased by 5,000 yen per tonne for Nickel series in each stainless steel makers. It is around 106,000 yen for 18% chrome and 8% nickel factory bandle scrap, around 96,000 yen for the turning scrap, at dealer’s purchasing price including freight. It rose by 10,000 yen in January at total. On the other hand, the 18% chrome scrao price decreased by 2,000 yen to 11,000 yen because JFE Steel, Japanese major stainless steel maker, is stopping to purchase. LME, london Metal Exchange, nickel price is 6.67 dollars per pound now. It contributes the rise of dealer’s purchasing price.From now, the nickel series scrap is likely to remain at strong tone.
