Hitachi Cable Reorganizes Sales Structure in Southeast Asia

Hitachi Cable announced on Friday it reorganizes and strengthens the sales structure of its subsidiaries in Southeast Asia. The firm will integrate branches and transfer stocks among the sales subsidiaries in the area, and Hitachi Cable (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. will control the sales subsidiaries in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Philippine after April 1, 2006. Hitachi Cable aims to cultivate the Southeast Asian market more and to follow the active demand from new markets such as India and Vietnam by the reorganization.Hitachi Cable (Singapore) produces and sells electric wire, cable and lead frame. Hitachi Cable (Singapore) will take over the sales business of Singaporean branch of Hitachi Cable Asia Ltd., which sells electric wire and cable, on April 1 2006.Hitachi Cable (Singapore) will acquire the whole stocks of HCAS Thai Trading Co., Ltd. from Hitachi Cable Asia on the same day. HCAS Thai Trading sells electric wire, cable, copper alloy product, electric material and brake hose for automobiles.Hitachi Cable (Singapore) will also establish the new division for marketing and sales promotion inside the firm. Hitachi Cable aims to strengthen the network between Hitachi Cable (Singapore) and affiliated firms in order to increase the marketing power more in Southeast Asian markets.Hitachi Cable (Singapore) will change the corporate name to Hitachi Cable Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. after the reorganization.
