Hitachi Alloy to Expand Processed Copper Alloy Sales

Hitachi Alloy, Hitachi Cable’s subsidiary producing copper alloy fabricated products, aims to expand output and sales of processed copper alloy products. Hitachi Alloy aims to increase the sales of processed copper alloy products from current 20% to around 30% of total sales taking advantage of its integrated production system from casting to processing. The firm advances its marketing function and develops new customers. The firm plans active capital investment for strategic areas for future growth after the firm controlled capital investment. Hitachi Alloy tries to expand net sales by 30% in 5 years except for higher cost price of copper ingot.Hitachi Alloy produces copper alloy bar, strip, wire and processed products. Bar and strip represent 30% of net sales, wire 35% and processed products about 20% at present. The firm aims to improve the sales balance more by strengthening processed products. The firm has an extruder with 3,200 tonnes capacity at Kisai plants in Saitama Prefecture and produces high precision processed products through integrated production system from casting to processing. Hitachi Alloy aims to reinforce relationships between existent customers more and to cultivate new demands with its advantages. The firm also expects more market share for copper alloy bar and wire.
