Toho Zinc Targets 60 billion yen of Annual Sales in F2012

Toho Zinc announced on Thursday the firm targets more than 60 billion yen of consolidated sales for fiscal 2012 ending March 2013 from estimated 35 billion yen for fiscal 2006. The firm expands output capacity of titanium ingot, sponge and metal while the firm expands the sales of electronic materials including nickel ultra fine powder and high purity titanium oxide and THC catalysts. The firm tries to expand the titanium metal sales from 23.3 billion yen in fiscal 2005 to 40 billion yen in fiscal 2012. The firm expands the output capacity of the ingot, which the firm supplies for domestic rolled titanium makers, from current 9,000 tonnes per year to 19,000 tonnes by launching new large electron beam furnace in Kitakyushu. The firm also expands the sponge output capacity from current annual 15,000 tonnes to 22,000 tonnes by 2011. The firm already decided to finish the first 700 tonnes expansion by August 2007.
