Japan H-Beam Import Ups by 35.4% in April

Japanese H-beam import increased by 35.4% to 12,133 tonnes in April from a year earlier, according to Ministry of Finance. The import halved from March. The averaged CIF unit value decreased by 1,065 yen to 57,899 yen per tonne from a year earlier. The unit value gap between Chinese products and South Korean products was 6,876 yen. The export increased by 107.6% to 13,685 tonnes in April from a year earlier. The export decreased by 17.8% from March. The averaged FOB unit price increased by 9,232 yen to 69,844 yen from a year earlier. The major destinations with more than 500 tonnes were South Korea, Singapore, China and Indonesia among total 16 countries.
