Ferrous scrap market price is flat around Tokyo when the players are watching the market move. The price is 18,500 yen per tonne for H2, 20,800 yen for H1 and 22,500 yen for HS at dealers’ purchase price including freight. The price is likely to keep the level with competition with vessel shipping price. Scrap arrivals improve for local electric furnace steel makers enough to the requirement when the export shipping peaked out and decreased depending on the shipping schedule. The makers pay as high as 26,000-27,000 yen per tonne for H2 when they keep watching FAS export shipping price for Asian countries from Tokyo bay to compete with. Scrap price is also flat at around 16,500 yen per tonne for H2 around Osaka.
