Japan Official Lead Price Decreases 3 Times in June

Mitsubishi Materials announced on Wednesday the firm decreased official lead ingot price by 4,000 yen to 154,000 yen per tonne for domestic shipment in June. The monthly averaged price became to 156,200 yen. The firm revised down the price three times in a row in June due to weak overseas lead market, though the foreign exchange rate of yen decreased against US dollar.Lead settlement price at London Metal Exchange plunged down by US$ 46 to US$ 969 per tonne on Tuesday from the previous day, impacted by wholly weak markets of nonferrous metals including copper and zinc. The telegraphic transfer selling (TTS) rate was 116.27 yen per one US dollar on Wednesday, which became cheaper by 0.98 yen from Monday when Mitsubishi Materials previously revised down the official price.
