Laiwu’s H-beam Imported at 1,500t for Japan Domestic Construction

H-beam import arrived from China to Yokkaichi port in Mie prefecture, Japan on June 6, the volume of which was around 1,500 tonnes manufactured by Laiwu Iron & Steel Group, a major H-beam maker in China, and including Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS) products. All of the imports will be used as earth retaining for large buildings in Nagoya area. The importer was Matsusho, which is Osaka based trading house and concluded the sole agency contract between Shandong Laiwu Steel International Corporation, the sales company in Laiwu group. Laiwu’s JIS products were adopted for domestic construction in Japan for the first time.Imported H-beam is mainly with 700 x 300 millimeter widths, equivalent to SS400 type of JIS, including Laiwu’s other middle sized products adopting JIS. Matsusho and steel dealers in Nagoya earned acceptance from major general contractor.
