Japanese import of stainless cold rolled flat steel kept less than 6,000 tonnes level for 3 months in a row. The import was 5,024 tonnes and is expected to decrease to less than 5,000 tonnes in May when offshore market price increases. Japanese export price of the product exceeded US$ 3,000 per tonne C&F Japan, which is the highest level in 16 years. The price keeps the high level when nickel price is expected to keep near US$ 9 per pound level while some concern the plunge scenario.
