Japan FeNb Import Jumps by 81% in May

Japanese ferroniobium import increased by 81.2% to 1,250 tonnes in May from a year earlier, according to Ministry of Finance. Steel makers increase the consumption as small amount additive to improve corrosion resistance and heat resistance when the demand of high valued steel products increases. The import increased by 53.8% to 4,185 tonnes in January-May from same period of 2005.
