JFE Shoji to Launch New Steel Service Center in Vietnam

JFE Shoji Trade Corporation announced on Thursday the firm establishes wholly owned flat steel center with 4,000 tonnes of monthly processing capacity at AMATA Industrial Park located near Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam for around 1 billion yen.

The firm starts the operation of the new center in May 2007. The center processes and sells sheet steel including electrical steel, cold rolled steel and coated steel at monthly 2,000 tonnes for first 8 months in 2007 expanding the volume to 3,000 tonnes.

JFE Shoji sends the management for the center with US$ 4.5 million of capital and around 50 of employees. The firm builds plant with around 5,000 square meters of floor space on around 22,500 square meters of land. The center with the slitters and levelers machinesprovides processing services mainly for electrical steel, cold steel and coated steel.
