Japan Carbon Steel Export Rises by 6.8% in June

Japanese carbon steel export increased by 6.8% to 2.255 million tonnes in June from a year earlier, which increased for 2 months in a row, announced by Japan Iron and Steel Federation on Wednesday. The export increased by 4.3% to 6.234 million tonnes on April-June from same period of 2005. The export apparently increases under better international steel supply balance though the export decreased by 3.5% to 11.957 million tonnes in January-June. The export increased by 6.2% for wide hot rolled coil and 4.5% for plate in January-June from same period of 2005 while the export decreased by 22.6% for wide cold rolled coil and by 3.7% for galvanizing steel. Wide hot coil export increased by 25.8% in April-June while plate export decreased by 2.6%.
