Daido Celebrates 90 Years History

Daido Steel celebrates 90 years on Saturday since the foundation in 1916. The president Masatoshi Ozawa said to Japan Metal Bulletin the firm tries to keep the challenging DNA to survive mega competition. The firm posted record 39.4 billion yen of recurring profit with 480 billion yen of sales for fiscal 2005 ended March 2006. Mr. Ozawa said the firm tries to refine the quality under the new mid-term business plan. The firm tries to increase the original products sales including only one and number one products from current 163 billion yen to 200 billion yen. Mr. Ozawa also said the firm seeks better alliances both at home and abroad to reinforce the business.
