Kitz Metal Works Triples Copper Alloy Forging Production

Kitz Metal Works, Japanese brass bar maker of Kitz group, triples the production volume of copper alloy forgings. The firm established a new building at the plant in Nagano Prefecture, Japan to take over copper alloy forging production from previous Kicho Corporation. Kitz already transferred productive equipment from previous Kicho plant to the new building and started the operation at the end of August. Kitz aims to increase the forging sales for unaffiliated customers when the firm succeeded the users of previous Kicho Corporation, while Kitz has sold copper alloyed forgings to the affiliated companies so far.Kitz Metal Works has 2 forging production buildings in Nagano plant, including the new established one with 17 million square meters of floor space. The firm transferred productive equipment from Kicho plant in early August, adjusted the equipment with test operations and started mass production at the end of August. The firm targets to increase the monthly production of copper alloy forgings from present 50 tonnes to 150 tonnes as early as possible.Kita Metal Works has supplied forged valves mainly to the affiliates in Kitz group so far. The firm can sell copper alloyed forgings for wider usage fields other than valve, such for precise machines, when the firm succeeds the production and the customers of Kicho Corporation.
