Japan Coke Import Halves in July

Japanese coke import halved to 116,127 tonnes in July from a year earlier, according to statistics by Ministry of Finance on Wednesday. The import decreased by 38.9% from June when Japanese integrated steel makers shift to domestic sources. The import unit value increased by 17.6% to CIF 23,094 yen per tonne from June, which increased for the first time in 4 months.
