Tokyo Steel to Improve Quality Control for H-Beam

Tokyo Steel Manufacturing considers better H-beam scale accuracy and components disclosure for construction materials after guideline to improve trustee for construction steel products by Japan Iron and Steel Federation on Friday. Japanese largest H-beam maker of Tokyo Steel’s move could impact on other firms. The guideline seeks higher accuracy for scales and quality while the guideline requires integration for size variation and accurate scale. The guideline seeks Japanese Industrial Standard should comply to Japanese Architectural Standard Specification 6 by Japanese Society of Steel Construction while it suggests to add carbon contents for SS400 grade H-beam. JISF launched working group for quality of construction structural steel products when confidence of building structure is mistrusted by the market due to deception scandal of fabricate structural calculation sheets while major earthquake is expected to occur around Tokyo. JISF announced on Friday the conclusion of discussion at the working group. The realization of the guideline depends on each maker.
