Seah Japan to Raise Welded Stainless Steel Pipe Price

Seah Japan, South Korean biggest welded steel pipe maker, Seah Steel’s Tokyo office, will raise the selling price of nickel series welded stainless steel pipe for SUS 304 by 80,000 yen per tonne to 56,000 yen without freight for November shipment. Kim Dong Kyu, president of Seah Japan, said that the firm improves the profit by the revision of the selling price and maintains the supply system because the firm is forced cost increase by the material cost rising.

Seah Japan sells welded steel pipe to Japanese users. Seah Steel produces carbon steel pipe at 80,000 tonne per month, which export for 25% of all production, and which export to Japan at 3,000 tonnes per month. The firm produces the welded stainless steel pipe at 1,800 tonnes for South Korea per month, at 600 tonnes for export, at 350 tonnes for U.S.A., at 200 tonnes for Japan and at 50 tonnes for other area.
