Alloyed Aluminium Makers Accept 2-3 yen/kg Price Down for September

Secondary alloyed aluminium makers around Tokyo agreed with the users including die-casting makers to decrease the ingot selling price by average 2-3 yen per kilogram for September shipment. Most makers accepted price down by 2-3 yen per kg while some sustained the price flat and some accepted 5 yen/kg down to adjust higher price. The price decreased slightly for 2 months in a row, though the price seemed to keep flat supported by high import price. Demand for secondary alloyed aluminium maintains active in Japan when automobile production mostly keeps the high level. Secondary alloyed aluminium makers continue full operation to meet the strong demand. The price would stay at the level for October shipment under the present supply and demand conditions. However, the ingot makers might offer hike when their productive costs are increasing due to high crude oil price and if primary aluminium price becomes upward at London Metal Exchange.
