Japanese ferrous scrap export increased by 1.7% to 596,000 tonnes in September from a year ago, while the import decreased by 0.3% to 12,000 tonnes, according to the Japan Ferrous Raw Materials Association.The export increased by 1.8% to 304,000 tonnes for South Korea in September from a year ago and by 115.1% to 67,000 tonnes for Taiwan, while decreased by 22.6% to 190,000 tonnes for China.
