Japan Copper Alloyed Products Shipment Increases in Sep

Copper alloyed products shipment increased by 5.3% to 86,782 tonnes in Japan in September from a year ago, including domestic demand and export, according to Japan Copper and Brass Association.As to domestic demand, the shipment recovered for connector pins applied into consumer electronics from the decline in August, which maintained firm tone for refrigerator, transporting machine and gas appliances in September. The shipment for domestic demand increased by 5.2% to 70,651 tonnes in September from a year ago. The export kept high level in September when demand is increasing for cadmium-free brass bar and phosphor bronze strip in Asia. The export increased by 5.9% to 16,131 tonnes in September from a year earlier.
