Secondary Alloyed Aluminium Price Increases in Osaka

Secondary alloyed aluminium price increased by 4-5 yen to around 300-305 yen per kilogram for AD12.1 grade in Osaka.Secondary alloyed aluminium makers around Osaka seemed to agree with the users including die-casting makers to increase the ingot selling price by average 5 yen per kg for November shipment, said ingot maker sources. The ingot makers aimed to raise the selling price for die-casting material by at least 10 yen per kg to pass higher costs for primary aluminium, sub materials, fuel and delivery. However, overseas primary aluminium market declined and foreign exchange rate of yen became stronger against US dollar after mid November. Then the ingot makers could not achieve 10 yen hike.Overseas primary aluminium market rebounded in December. Other materials prices also stay high. Secondary alloyed aluminium makers would continue to seek additional hike to cover increasing costs for December shipment.
