Japan Steel Export Rises by 27.6% in November

Japanese steel export increased by 27.6% to 2.931 million tonnes in November from a year earlier, announced by Ministry of Finance on Thursday. The value increased by 29.8% to 310.5 billion yen. The import volume increased by 19.4% to 723,492 tonnes and the value increased by 19.2% to 73 billion yen. The steel export increased for all major countries and areas in November from a year earlier. The export volume increased by 32.6% to USA, by 77.3% to European Union and by 30.7% to Asian countries. The export increased by 53.2% to China. The export value increased by 10% to USA, by 64.1% to EU and by 30.4% to Asian countries. The value increased by 31.2% to China. The steel import volume increased by 16.7% from USA, by 36.3% from EU and from 14.1% to Asian countries in November from a year earlier. The import volume increased by 39.7% from China, to 341 times from Middle East and to 9 times from Russia. The import value increased by 7.4% from USA, by 11.1% from EU and by 17.5% from Asian countries. The import value increased by 40.5% from China and to 7 times from Middle East. Japanese total export increased by 12.1% to 6.632 trillion yen in November from a year earlier. The import increased by 7.5% to 5.716 trillion yen. The net export increased by 54.1% to 915.9 billion yen. The net export value increased for the first time in 2 months while the export increased for 36 months in a row and the import increased for 33 months in a row.
