Ferrous scrap price is flat at 24,500 yen per tonne for H2, 26,800 yen for H1 and 28,500 yen for HS grade at dealers’purchase price including freight around Tokyo. The price is expected to keep the level with higher export price. Kanto Tetsugen’s scrap export price hit record FAS 32,183 yen per tonne for H2 at tender held on Tuesday, which was 2,580 yen higher than previous tender. The price increased when new export price increased for South Korea. The higher export price is expected to impact on local market price and electric furnace steel makers’purchase price. Ferrous scrap price is firm at around 22,000 yen per tonne for H2 around Osaka.
