Ferrous scrap price is flat at 23,000 yen per tonne for H2, 25,300 yen for H1 and 27,000 yen for HS at dealers’ purchase price including freight around Tokyo. The price is expected to keep firm when the export price is firm for new order. Japanese scrap export price hit record FAS 32,948 yen per tonne for H2 at export tender for March shipment held by Kanto Tetsugen on Friday. The higher price was estimated to be South Korean makers’ aggressive appetite for Japanese scrap when the delivery is delayed from USA and Russia. Ferrous scrap price is flat at around 23,000 yen per tonne for H2 around Osaka.
