Anshan Iron & Steel to Raise Hot-rolled Steel Coil to Japan

Chinese major steel maker, Anshan Iron & Steel announced the firm raises the selling price of hot-rolled steel coil bound for Japan by 3,500 yen to CIF 67,000 yen per tonne for May shipment. The firm has raised the selling price against Japan for 3 months in a row when the market price of hot-rolled steel sheet is increasing in both China and Japan. Hot sheet supply and demand are balanced in Japan and the domestic price is in uptrend.Anshan Iron & Steel decreased the selling price by 1,500 yen to 59,000 yen per tonne for February shipment to Japan. As for March shipment, the firm raised the price by 1,000 yen to 60,000 yen to improve its profitability. The firm increased the price by 3,500 yen for April shipment and by 3,500 yen for May shipment.As to cold-rolled steel coil, the firm’s selling price was set at CIF US$ 640 per tonne bound for Japan.
