Japanese copper scrap export decreased by 15.3% to 31,992 tonnes in November from a year earlier, which for China declined by 9% to 29,579 tonnes in November from a year ago under the down trend since October 2006, announced by Ministry of Finance on December 28. The aluminium scrap export also decreased by 2.5% in November from a year ago.The export of cathode copper and the fragments increased by 41% in November from a year earlier, which doubled to 9,495 tonnes for China while increased by 6.3% to 9,898 tonnes for Taiwan. The bronze ingot export increased by 69%. The export decreased for zinc ingot with above 99.99% purity in the month from a year earlier while increased by 5% for zinc ingot with less than 99.99% purity. The aluminium alloy ingot export increased slightly.
