Ferrous scrap market price is flat at 29,500 yen per tonne for H2, 31,800 yen for H1 and 33,500 yen for HS grade at dealers’ purchase price including freight around Tokyo. The price is likely to keep the level when scrap export shipping from Tokyo continues for existing orders in May. The scrap export price from Tokyo bay peaked at FOB 37,000-37,500 yen per tonne for H2 after the gain. The price is weak under slow offshore market when South Korean buyers secured requirement. With the reasonable price level, offshore buyers apparently increase the purchase of Japanese scrap gradually. Ferrous scrap market price keeps firm at around 29,000 yen per tonne for H2 around Osaka.
