Japan Secondary Aluminium Output and Shipment Hit Record

Japan Aluminium Alloy Refiners Association announced on May 1 Japanese domestic production of secondary aluminium and aluminium alloy ingot increase by 2.2% to 95,391 tonnes in March from a year earlier while the shipment increased by 3.1% to 96,961 tonnes, both of which hit monthly records. The production represented year-to-year increase for 20 months in a row and the shipment for 22 months thanks to active demand for automotive parts.
