Nippon Steel Engineering to Accept the Order of CDQ from Chinese Steel Maker

Nippon Steel Engineering, Japanese major steel engineering maker, announced on Tuesday the firm received the order of world’s biggest Coke Dry Quenching, CDQ, which has the coke cooling capacity at 160 tonnes per hour, from Shougang Jingtang United Iron & Steel, Chinese major steel maker. Average capacity of CDQ is traditionally 140 tonnes per hour. Nippon Steel Engineering already developed 280 tonnes CDQ, which will expand sales of large CDQ. Shougang Jingtang United Iron & Steel is constructing integrated steel plant which has the capacity of crude steel at 8 million tonnes per year in Tangshan city, Hebei province in China. Shougang Jingtang United Iron & Steel is leading steel company which has large capacity and advanced technology in China. The firm will put CDQ of Nippon Steel Engineering in large coke oven and start an operation in October 2008.
