Mitsubishi Aluminum to Give Automotive Technology to Varopakorn

Mitsubishi Aluminum strengthens technical assistance for Varopakorn Public Company in Bangkok, Thailand in aluminium plate production. Mitsubishi Aluminum will provide its productive technology of automotive heat exchanger for Varopakorn while the firm has already offered aluminium fin technology which is applied into general home appliances. Varopakorn will start supply of auto related products in 2008 with the provided technology.Varopakorn was established in February 1979 to produce and sell rolled aluminium products. Mitsubishi Aluminum invested capital in Varopakorn and started technology assistance in 1995. Mitsubishi Aluminum currently holds 13.4% shares in Varopakorn. Varopakorn has output capacity of 1,400-1,500 tonnes per month. Mitsubishi Aluminum and Varopakorn renewed their contracts for additional 10 years.Mitsubishi Aluminum established MUANG-MAX (Thailand) in Bangkok, Thailand in 1997 to produce and sell multi-channeled aluminium tube for automotive heat exchanger. Mitsubishi Aluminum aims to strengthen auto related business in Thailand for both aluminium extrusions manufactured at MUANG-MAX and aluminium plates processed at Varopakorn.
