Tokyo Steel Leaves Prices Unchanged

Tokyo Steel Manufacturing announced on Tuesday the firm leaves the selling price for distributors unchanged for October order, which the firm accepts until September 20. The firm tries to watch the market condition under slower demand for building and slower US economy. The firm said the export rate increases to more than 20% in October-March period compared with 14.4% in April-June due to stronger demand in Asia under less export from China. The firm plans 140,000 tonnes of output for H-beam for September compared with 120,000 tonnes in August. The firm keeps the 70,000-80,000 tonnes level output for hot rolled coil in September as August. The firm sees the export price is C&F US$ 680 per tonne for H-beam, US$ 610 for concrete reinforcing steel bar, FOB US$ 600 for hot coil and US$ 720 for plate products. The firm offers FOB US$ 680 for H-beam, US$ 610-620 for hot coil and US$ 720-730 for plate.
