Tokyo Steel Keeps Prices for All Items

Tokyo Steel Manufacturing announced on Monday the firm left the selling price for all items unchanged for distributors for November order as October. The firm tries to watch the market condition when steel demand is slower due to US subprime loan issue and Japanese very slow building market. The firm increases the grade extra charge by 1,000 yen per tonne for general structural grade SS490, welding structural grade SM, building grade SN, container grade SPA-H and concrete reinforcing grade SD390. The firm tries to cover higher raw materials cost through the revision. The firm will produce plate products with 9,144 and 12,192 millimeters length while the firm produced only 6,096 mm length products before. The firm offers FOB US$ 730-740 per tonne for plate to offshore buyers while the offer is US$ 610-620 for hot rolled coil and US$ 670-680 for H-beam.
