Mitsubishi Aluminum to Increase Rolled Al Sales by 4.7% in 2H

Mitsubishi Aluminum announced on Monday the firm estimated its monthly averaged sales of aluminium flat and extruded products increases by 4.7% to 15,302 tonnes in the second half of fiscal 2007 ending March 2008 compared with the corresponding period of fiscal 2006. The firm expects the domestic demand would maintain stable for aluminium rolled products, especially for plates.Mitsubishi Aluminum estimated its monthly averaged sales of aluminium plate increases by 5.8% to 12,800 tonnes in 2H of F2007 compared with 2H of F2006. The estimated sales increase by average 700 tonnes per month from a year ago. The demand is expected to keep stable. Aluminium extrusion sales are estimated to decrease by 0.3% to 2,502 tonnes per month in 2H of F2007 compared with 2H of F2006. The extrusion sales would drop down for motorcycles and vehicles while be covered by the increasing demand for trucks and heat exchangers. The firm estimated its sales of aluminium foil increases by 3% to 1,769 tonnes per month in 2H of F2007 compared with 2H of F2006. The sales would decreases for packaging materials while maintain favorable for capacitors and industrial materials.
