Japan Copper Export Increases in September

Japanese export of electrolytic copper (cathode copper) increased by 75.8% to 40,826 tonnes in September from a year earlier, announced by Ministry of Finance on Tuesday. The export increased by 40.4% to 19,000 tonnes for China while expanded to 2.2 times for Taiwan. The copper scrap export was 36,968 tonnes in September almost as flat as a year earlier.The export of zinc ingot with above 99.99% purity decreased by 46.6% to 1,009 tonnes in September from a year earlier, which decreased by 84.4% for Taiwan. The export of zinc ingot with less than 99.99% purity increased by 40.1%, which increased by 31.3% for Indonesia and by 37.4% for Vietnam.
