Japan Copper Rolled Product Output Downs for 8 Months

Japanese copper and copper alloy fabricating industry produced the products of 81,580 tonnes (quick estimation) in September, which downed by 5.8% from a year earlier and represented year-to-year decrease for 8 months in a row, according to Japan Copper and Brass Association.The production volume decreased for leading items such as brass bar and copper tube. The users tend to minimize their purchasing volume when copper metal price fluctuates widely. Another background was that the copper product demand declined for construction markets.Copper strip production showed year-to-year increase for 2 months in a row while the output of phosphor bronze sheet and strip represented year-to-year increase for the first time in 7 months. However, the total output down could not be covered.
