Nippon Steel Engineering Gets the Order of Dust Recycling System from China

Nippon Steel Engineering announced on Wednesday the firm awarded dry dust recycle equipment (RHF) from Maanshan Iron & Steel, Chinese major steel maker, with Mitsubishi Corporation. RHF forms dust which is generated from iron works, and produces reduced iron by rotating furnace. Maanshan Iron & Steel will construct RHF which has the processing capacity of 200,000 tonnes per year in new iron works which has crude steel production capacity of 5 million tonnes per year and started the operation in this year. Maanshan Iron & Steel will start the operation of RHF in June 2009. Nippon Steel Engineering’s acceptance for RHF was 8th in Japan and overseas, which was in China for the first time. RHF reduces dust and recycles dust to using in electric furnace or blast furnace as high quality material, which recycles zinc including dust and sell to non-ferrous smelter. China aims the progression for recycling-oriented economic system by such as the recycling of the material. Zero-emission is key problem for Chinese steel makers.
