Nippon Steel concluded the export price hike negotiation with a major South Korean reroller to increase the hot coil price by US$ 10 to FOB US$ 550 per tonne for January-March shipment compared with October-December. The export volume is same level as October-December. The firm succeeded to increase the hot coil price by more than US$ 100 per tonne since January-March 2006 under tight supply condition. The firm tries to increase the price more for April and after shipment when raw materials cost could increase.
