Ahresty to Expand Offshore Die-casting Operations

Tokyo based alloyed aluminium maker, Ahresty Corporation plans 6 billion yen of capital expenditure for offshore production facilities in fiscal 2008 starting April 2008 to expand the offshore die-casting production under growing demand. The firm completes construction of the new plants in India and expands the plants in China and Mexico to meet firm demand. The firm targets to double sales at North American plant by 2010 compared with estimated sales in fiscal 2008. The firm operates die-casting plant in Guangzhou at full capacity to meet strong demand for automobile. The firm expands the output capacity by getting next land of existing plant with 43,000 square meters to meet growing demand. The firm launched Mexico plant in August one month ahead of the original schedule. The firm expects the order will increase more when local makers cannot large die-casting products along with the limited quality management capacity. The firm increases the sales of Mexican plant to 7 billion yen for fiscal 2009 compared with 3 billion yen for fiscal 2008. The firm starts construction work of Indian plant in October. The firm starts commercial operation of Indian plant in 2009 after the commissioning autumn 2008. The firm tries to improve the competitiveness in technology and development for the North American plant in the competitive market. The firm expands the sales to 23-24 billion yen by 2010.
