Sheet steel market price is flat at 69,000-70,000 yen per tonne for hot rolled sheet, at 70,000-72,000 yen for pickling steel and at 78,000-80,000 yen for cold rolled sheet around Tokyo.Japanese shipping volume increased by 11.4% in October from last month due to strong demand for automobile or flat-screen television, according to Japan Coil Center Industry Association. Otherwise, dealer source said the demand for dealer isn’t good. Dealers raised the selling price in October. But, many dealers see and wait situation currently due to slower demand. However, integrated steel makers give suggestions to raise the selling price in April due to the forecast for rising material price. Consequently, dealers keep the selling price for the avoidance of the decline in profit.
