Nippon Steel Engineering to Get New Order for F2007

Nippon Steel Engineering expects the order receipt will increase by more than 40 billion yen to over 100 billion yen for fiscal 2007 ending March 2008 from fiscal 2006. The firm gets orders for steel making facilities from Nippon Steel and other Japanese makers while the firm gets orders for environmental and energy saving facilities from offshore makers. The order receipt will top 67 billion yen of original outlook for fiscal 2007 and 95 billion yen for fiscal 2005. The firm got order for blast furnace expansion at Oita works of Nippon Steel and for new steel making ship from Sumitomo Metals (Kokura) in the year. The firm also got orders for 2 rotary hearth furnaces (RHF) from POSCO of South Korea, RHF from Maanshan Iron and Steel of China and blast furnace gas treatment facility from Taiyuan Iron and Steel of China. Steel makers try to build new steel plants under growing economy worldwide while Japanese steel makers expand the output capacity to increase high grade steel products. Steel makers also try to improve the environmental action and energy saving.
