Rolled Aluminium Output Shows y/y Up for 3 Months in Osaka

Rolled aluminium output increased by 10.5% to 28,076 tonnes around Osaka in October from a year earlier, which represented year-to-year up for 3 months in a row, according to Japan Aluminium Association. The production became to the highest level in late 7 months. The output increased for sheets and strips while decreased for extrusions and shapes due to the impact by Japanese building standard law revision. The output of aluminium foils exceeded 5,000 tonnes for 2 straight months.The output of aluminium extrusions decreased by 4.7% to 4,094 tonnes in October from a year earlier, which represented y/y down for 7 months in a row. Shapes output decreased by 4.7% to 3,136 tonnes inside extrusions, though which showed y/y down by more than 10% for 4 straight months by September.Aluminium foil output increased by 10.7% to 5,465 tonnes in October from a year ago, which hit the yearly highest. The production was firm for capacitors while declined for foods and daily goods.
