Japan Official Copper Price Unchanged, Lead and Zinc Up

Nippon Mining & Metals announced on Monday the firm set the official copper ingot price unchanged at 980,000 yen per tonne for domestic shipment in October compared with the end of September. The price upped by 5.7% from the monthly average in September at 927,200 yen. Overseas copper markets, the indicator for domestic ingot price, keep the highest level since the end of July at London Metal Exchange and New York Commodity Exchange.Mitsubishi Materials announced on Monday the firm set the official lead ingot price at 443,000 yen per tonne for domestic shipment in October, up by 29,000 yen from the end of September. The price hit the highest since record 468,000 yen on 23 July, 2007. LME lead settlement was US$ 3,451 per tonne on Friday, increasing by US$ 198 from 17 September along which Mitsubishi Materials previously revised the official price.Mitsui Mining & Smelting announced on Monday the firm set the official zinc ingot price at 395,000 yen per tonne for domestic shipment in October, raised by 8,000 yen from the end of September. The latest price hit the highest in a month and became higher by 21,300 yen from the monthly average in September at 373,700 yen. LME zinc settlement was US$ 3,059 per tonne on Friday, increasing by US$ 123.5 from 19 September along which Mitsubishi Materials previously revised the official price.
