Mitsui Mining & Smelting announced on Friday the firm revised down the official zinc ingot price by 15,000 yen to 305,000 yen per tonne for domestic shipment in January. The latest price reflected the decline of overseas zinc market. The monthly average would be 308,900 yen without any more revision within January.Zinc settlement at London Metal Exchange dropped down by US$ 117.5 to US$ 2,409.5 per tonne on 10 January from the previous day. LME nonferrous metals had maintained steady thanks to the record high price of gold. However, nonferrous metal prices turned down on 10 January due to the profit taking sales.LME zinc settlement was lower by US$ 56.5 compared with US$ 2,466 along which Mitsui Mining & Smelting previously revised the domestic official zinc price on 4 January.
