Mitsubishi Materials announced on Thursday the firm revised down the official lead ingot price by 12,000 yen to 310,000 yen per tonne for domestic shipment in January. The latest price downed by 7% from 335,000 yen at the beginning of this year to reflect the decline of overseas lead market. The monthly average would be 322,200 yen without any more revision within January.Lead spot price at London Metal Exchange rebounded by US$ 60.5 to US$ 2,540.5 per tonne at settlement on Wednesday from the previous day. However, the price was lower by US$ 69.5 from 16 January along which Mitsubishi Materials previously revised the official price.LME lead price is weakening with LME copper and other nonferrous metals with an expectation that nonferrous metals demand would decrease due to the slower economy in the world under the influence of US subprime loan problem.
