Sumikei Aluminum Foil announced on Monday the firm raises the selling price of aluminium plain foil by more than 60 yen per kilogram effective for February shipment. The firm started the price negotiation with the customers.Demand of aluminium plain foil maintains high mainly for industrial applications. Sumikei Aluminum Foil continues full operation to meet the strong demand.On the other hand, the firm is suffered from higher costs for rolling oil, rolling additives, packaging materials and distributions. The firm became unable to absorb the cost up by themselves despite of its efforts to improve productivity. The firm decided to offer the price hike to keep the stable supply.
