Tokyo Kohtetsu Plans 5 billion yen Expenditure in 3 Years

Tokyo based angle maker, Tokyo Kohtetsu plans around 5 billion yen of capital expenditure in 3 years through fiscal 2010 ending March 2011. The firm tries to improve productivity, quality level and environmental action through renewal of steel making transformer and flicker absorber along with liquid natural gas using system for reheat furnace. The president Yoshitaka Minami said at financial briefing on Monday the firm tries to improve the profitability in longer term. The firm plans 2 billion yen of capital expenditure in fiscal 2008. The firm renews flicker absorber for 1 billion yen and dust collector for 250 million yen. The firm also plans 60 million yen rolling stand renewal and 690 million yen for other expenditure. The firm plans around 1.05 billion yen of expenditure for fiscal 2009 when the firm renews billet shearing machine for 550 million yen, rolling mill facility for 200 million yen and builds the first phase of LNG system for reheat furnace for 100 million yen. The firm plans 800 million yen of rolling mill facility renewal and 440 million yen of second phase of LNG system. The firm reduces the carbon dioxide emission by annual 4,200 tonnes from current 72,400 tonnes through the LNG system. The firm tries to improve the environmental action along with the profitability and products’ quality through the aggressive expenditure.
