Japan Official Copper and Zinc Prices Unchanged, Lead Up

Nippon Mining & Metals announced on Tuesday the firm set the official copper ingot price at 900,000 yen per tonne for domestic shipment in April, unchanged from the end of March. Copper settlement at London Metal Exchange was US$ 8,520 per tonne on 31 March, increasing slightly from US$ 8,457 on 27 March along which Nippon Mining & Metals previously revised up the official price. Telegraphic transfer selling rate was 100.80 yen per US dollar on 1 April, almost as flat as 100.40 yen on 28 March.Mitsubishi Materials announced on Tuesday the firm set the official lead ingot price at 319,000 yen per tonne for domestic shipment in April, up by 9,000 yen from the end of March. LME lead settlement decreased by US$ 79.5 to US$ 2,793 per tonne on 31 March from 28 March, though which was higher by US$ 143 compared with 20 March when Mitsubishi Materials previously revised the official price.Mitsui Mining & Smelting announced on Tuesday the firm set the official zinc ingot price at 275,000 yen per tonne for domestic shipment in April, unchanged from the end of March. LME zinc settlement decreased by US$ 22.5 to US$ 2,303 per tonne on 31 March from 28 March.
