Sheet steel market price is weak at around 96,000-97,000 yen per tonne for hot rolled flat steel around Tokyo. The price is expected to decrease when ferrous scrap price plunged and the demand slows for automobile, appliances and other manufacturers along with building applications.
The price is 98,000-99,000 yen per tonne for pickling steel, 108,000-110,000 yen for cold rolled flat steel, 113,000-114,000 yen for hot coil based electrogalvanized steel and 122,000-124,000 yen for cold coil based electrogalvanized steel around Tokyo. The distributors and processing service centers try to keep the price level when Nippon Steel and JFE Steel announced additional price hike.
